I would love to buy everything organic, but it can get pricey. These 12 foods (courtesy of eatingwell.com) are the top offenders and most likey to carry harmful pesticides. Trader Joe’s and Sprouts are great affordable alternatives to Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck). 🙂 Have a great day everyone! see you ’round the p0les! 1. Apples … Continue reading

I can’t wait to try it with some fresh grilled corn. 🙂 Oh yeah, and it’s cheap to make! woo hoo! the leftovers are awesome too ❤ Just heat one up after class for a protein fix .
Have a great day you gorgeous ladies!

Spicy Honey Chicken
by Our Best Bites
8 boneless skinless chicken thighs, about 2 lbs (you could use breasts as well)
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 tsp granulated garlic
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp coriander
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder (it’s there in the spice aisle…you just have to look hard)
1/2 cup Honey
1T Cider Vinegar
Combine the rub spices in bowl and mix well.
Use kitchen shears to trim off any excess fat from the chicken pieces. Pat dry. Drizzle oil over chicken and rub in with your hands to lightly coat all the pieces. Then toss chicken with the spice rub to coat all sides well. Use your hands and get in there! Grill chicken for 3-5 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
While chicken is cooking, warm honey in the microwave so it’s not so thick. Add the vinegar and combine well. Reserve 2T honey glaze for later. Take the rest and brush on chicken (both sides) in the final moments of grilling.
I’m gonna warn you that this can make a hot mess, literally. It’s sugar, and it’s gonna drip. But the smelly smoke is worth it for a minute or two. Just leave your grill on for a few minutes after the chicken is done to burn off any excess glaze. It’s totally worth it once you taste this stuff.
Hi Hotties!!! Kristina posted a great workout, Buns of Envy, check it out here. There is also Abs of Envy and we are always on the quest for six pack. I want mine to be better than the boys! Rawr! These workouts don’t seem to require more than a set of weights. I’m all for … Continue reading
I had a whole bunch of leftover zuccini and squash, some chicken and decided to make soup. This is a great soup, good for lunch, to take to work, to have for dinner (maybe add quesadillas?) Anyway, its easy and pretty inexpensive to make 🙂 Ingredients: 1-store bought rotisserie chicken (Costco is excellent 🙂 ) … Continue reading
I am now in LOVE with homemade brownies because of Barbara, she has the best ever brownie recipe, when I made them, I ate half the pan because it’s impossible not to gorge yourself on them. I came across this one (okay a little more than one) serving microwave brownie. Not a huge fan of the microwave but it does in a pinch at 10PM when a brownie sounds good but baking does not. Oh, and in no way shape or form is this healthy, just good…with a big glass of milk…well justified after a pole class… ❤
